ABOUT
I’m Arica Lynn, the heart and hands behind The Wig Bar. For me, hair has never been just hair. It’s a language, a living poem written strand by strand. It carries energy, it shifts emotions, and it has the power to change lives. From the very first time I emulated a style on myself to the moment I created my first waterfall , I realized that hair was my art form and my freedom.
As a little girl, I wrote poetry. As a young woman, I discovered hair was simply another kind of verse, one that could be touched, worn, and experienced. Every client, every wig, every transformation is a stanza in someone’s story. To this day, I am moved by how a simple style can turn insecurity into confidence, sadness into joy, and silence into self-expression.
What began with classmates and family grew into loyal clients, some of whom have been with me since 2010. Along the way, my artistry expanded into makeup and the world of theatre, where I discovered the stage and the screen as powerful canvases. There, hair becomes more than beauty. It becomes character. A twist, a curl, a wig, a color. Each choice helps an audience feel the emotion before a single word is spoken.
That is why film and television are my ultimate destination. On set, I can bring characters to life, shaping stories that linger in the mind and move the heart. Mastering wigs has only deepened that calling. At The Wig Bar, I craft pieces that honor every texture, every race, every culture. Wigs that don’t just sit on heads, but embody entire narratives.
My passion is endless because the possibilities are endless. Hair is freedom. Hair is identity. Hair is poetry in motion. Through my work, I don’t just style, I write stories, I sculpt energy, and I breathe life into characters both real and imagined.
I am Arica Lynn. This is more than a profession. It’s my purpose.
